Synopsis
Norman Osborn decides to take back the goblin power lost to Otto Octavius' nanobots by using the Carnage symbiote to expel them from his body. After taking the Goblin Formula again by bonding with the symbiote he transforms into the lethal Red Goblin bent on discovering Spider-Man's true identity again and destroying him once and for all. Peter will need the help of friends and foes to stop him, but victory will come at a very high cost.

- Dan Slott revealed on Twitter that the Go Down Swinging was going to end with the implication that Flash Thompson may have survived being electrocuted by the Red Goblin, but this was removed when the editors pointed out it would cheapen his sacrifice.[1]
