Synopsis for "The Mega-Monsters from Beyond! Part II: Triax"
With the arrival of Triax on Earth, Robert in the Red Ronin and Godzilla team up to battle the monster. However, when Triax is overpowered, the Warlords of Mega send down their other two monsters, Rhiahn and Krollar, to aid their fellow Mega-Monster.
As the battle rages on, the Betans discover that a Megan spacecraft is approaching that plans to fire an Energex-Ray at the Mega-Monsters that will greatly increase their strength and ferocity. In order to prevent this from happening, the Betan commander takes their spacecraft and attempts to stop the Megan craft. The Betan attack inflicts critical damage on the Megan craft but its return fire damages them as well, causing their auto-pilot to lock them on a collision course with their base on the Moon. The resulting crash destroys the Betan spacecraft and ruptures the base's atmosphere dome, allowing the atmosphere to begin leaking away into the vacuum.
Back on Earth, the S.H.I.E.L.D. Godzilla Squad tries to coordinate the National Guard's counter-attack against the monsters. However, things get worse when Rhiahn is able to chop off the head of the Red Ronin robot, deactivating it and knocking Robert unconscious, leaving Godzilla to battle the super-powered monsters alone. Seconds later, the crippled Megan spacecraft implodes but only after firing an energy beam that makes the Mega-Monsters stronger than ever.
Notes
- In this issue, the source of the telepathic "voice" that Rob Takiguchi has been hearing in his head identify themselves as the Warlords of the planet Mega.
