Gregor was a Phalanx drone generated by Harvest in San Francisco Bay to infiltrate the collective's mutant captives. Alongside Paige Guthrie, Clarice Ferguson, Angelo Espinosa and Monet St. Croix, he pretended to be a fellow mutant captured by the Phalanx.
Gregor's good nature and high spirits seemed designed to keep his "friends" hopeful about rescue, but actually he was probing them for weaknesses while monitoring them for escape attempts. Monet recognized the insincerity of his motives, and deactivated Gregor before initiating their escape.[1]
