History

Gregory Knox tried to clone the famed inventor Thomas Edison. Unfortunately, Edison's DNA sample was contaminated by Knox's pet cockatiel during the synthesis, leading to the creation of the "Inventor". Knox acted as his henchman, aiding the Inventor with his schemes. After the clone's death, Knox continued in his footsteps as the Inventor, donning a cockatiel-themed outfit and attacking downtown Jersey City with giant cyborg animals to cull the people he believed were weak. Though Kamala Khan had temporarily retired from being Ms. Marvel, the local teenagers took up the mantle and resisted Knox's creations with Captain Marvel. Kamala returned to defeat Knox's animals and ended his plan.

During Dark Web, demonic energies reanimated the Edison clone and he sought out his creator. As he murdered Knox, Knox revealed the existence of the Inventors, other half-bird clones of famous historical inventors.
