Grilda was a goblin, and one of the countless of monsters who heeded Queen Shiklah's call to arms to invade Manhattan.
When the Mercs for Money infiltrated 30 Rockefeller Plaza, which had become Shiklah's main outpost, Grilda mistook Hit-Monkey for her beloved Grunthwat the Goblin Mayor; however, she realized her gaffe once they had taken an elevator to the upper floors. Grilda and a group of monsters then followed and confronted them, but the Mercs for Money managed to escape.[1]
