History
Groot was kept in the Collector's Emporium until a bounty hunter accidentally broke him out. Yondu Udonta, leader of the Ravagers, put a bounty up for Star-Lord, a former member of the team before he reported them. When trying to collect this bounty however, Star-Lord talked the pair out of it and they instead joined together. Later on they met Drax the Destroyer and Gamora, daughter of Thanos, and joined together to create the Guardians of the Galaxy.
