History
Groth-Golka was the last once-dreaded Lizard-Gods. He lived on the uninhabited part of the Isle of the God, in the Inland Sea.
As he was trying to devour Aala (Kyrie), a mortal worshiped by the people of Bal-Sagoth and exiled there by High Priest of Gol-Goroth Gothan, Groth-Golk was killed by Fafnir, recently stranded on the island along with Conan.[1]Notes
- Groth-Golkah was created by Robert E. Howard in his Turlogh Dubh O'Brien and Cthulhu Mythos story "The Gods of Bal-Sagoth" (Weird Tales; October, 1931), adapted by Marvel Comics in Conan the Barbarian #17 and 18 (August and September, 1972), written by Roy Thomas and penciled by Gil Kane.
- Originally a bird-god, he was changed in the adaptation as the last of the Lizard-Gods.
