History
Guadalcanal is an island nation located on the South-Western part of the Pacific Ocean inside the Solomon Islands. During World War II it was a strategic location in the conflict between the United States and Japan. The United States Armed Forces and Imperial Japanese forces clashed here between December 1942 to February 1943. The Allies eventually took control of the region.[1]
Guadalcanal was the site of many clashes between American super-humans and Japanese forces. The first such situation found the Sub-Mariner joining the military and seeing combat in Guadalcanal in order to capture the Nazi agent known as the Knife from providing secrets to the Japanese.[2] In August of 1943, the Crazy S.U.E.S. (A team of enlisted super-heroes and costumed adventurers) fought in Guadalcanal. During the conflict Crazy SUE member Jap Buster Johnson was accidentally incinerated by his teammate Captain Flame.[3]Points of Interest
