History

Guan Yu (關羽) was the Taoist god (Xian) of war.

Guan Yu & the Xian vs. the Wyrm of Desolation

Long ago, prior to recorded history in the Earth realm, Guan Yu was among the Xian assembled to battle the entity known as the Wyrm of Desolation which had attacked Ta-Lo in an attempt to absorb the Xian into itself. The Wyrm of Desolation would have consumed Guan Yu and his Xian brethren if not for the timely intervention of Nezha, who was able to trap the Wyrm within his Universe Ring.
