Nothing is known about the Guardian Clan, composed of Neo who retained his powers after the Decimation when many others did not. Hearing of the birth of the Messiah-child, Stare led the powered members of the Clan in an attack on the X-Men in hopes of receiving answers.
Reacting to Neo's agression, the Evolutionaries arrived and terminated the Guardian Clan, and then every last Neo on Earth, followed shortly thereafter, to protect mutantkind.
