We were--- we thought we were sacrificing ourselves to keep Thanos in the Cancerverse as that universe imploded around him. And us. We thought we were going out in a blaze of glory. A hero's death. Drax was dead--- I wanted it to mean something. Stopping Thanos once and for all, for all time, was worth it. Shoving that Cosmic Cube up his purple butt as the universe folded around him... well, wouldn't that make every damn thing we've been through worth it? Not only would our universe survive...
