Guardingham was the patriotic leader of Awful Flight, a Canada-based team of mostly mutant heroes. As his uniform was the flag, he sometimes took it off the wave it. When he apparently died (ran over by a train), his wife Hithere took the uniform to become a heroine herself - but Guardingham was alive and was taken to the Guardinghams of the Universe, who told him about Agent X, a person who tried to destroy Awful Flight.[1]
