The guillotine collars are made of adamantium and lock around the wearer's neck. The owner of the collar can set a predetermined time when the guillotine will activate, beheading the wearer instantly. When the Collector hired Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon to retrieve the Black Vortex, she affixed guillotine collars around their necks to ensure that they wouldn't escape with the prize.[1]
