So Slade hires a a couple thugs to beat up Reno but Reno beats them easily. He then hires a gunhand name Durango to murder Reno, but Durango loses and is killed in the process. Slade uses this to his advantage and gets Reno arrested under the false pretense that Reno murdered in cold blood.
