Synopsis for "Trouble in Leadville!"

The Black Rider is involved in a shoot out against a group of outlaws (The Dan Basset’s gang). He proves too much for them and they ride away. He saved Marie and Jim Lathrop from the gang's attack. The Rider commented that there was a rumour that Dan Basset was moving to their territory. Jim told the Black Rider that the gang came peaceable at first, but then they asked a lot of questions about Leadville (how big it was, how many banks it had) and became angry when the pair refused to answer.

Suspicious that the gang was up to no good the Black Rider tries to go after them. He asks Marie to go to the sheriff and warn him about the gang’s presence. However the trail goes cold and the Rider decided to return to town. But, unknown to him , the Basset gang discovered his presence and decided to not shoot him to avoid risks and because he wasn't the objetive.

Back in town, the Rider resumed his identity as Doc Masters and was approached by Marie Lathrop, who informed him of the "news" of the Black Rider's deeds. She also told him that the sheriff had left with a posse. Suddenly, Basset and his gang arrived to find the town is unprotected. Doc Masters forced Marie to hide in a nearby house, saying that he was going to locate the sherriff, so he would do a quick change to the Black Rider. The Basset ganf went stright for the bank, but they are stopped by the the Black Rider, who arrived earlier and surprised them with a barricade. He quickly disarmed the bandits with his guns and dismounted them with his fists. He captured all when the sheriff arrived. Later, Doc Masters approached Marie and asked her what happened. She replied that the usual happened, with the Rider saving the day, but that he tried anyway, and not everybody would be as marvelous as the Black Rider. Doc Masters agreed with her.
