Synopsis for "Slap Leather, Yella Belly!"
The Two-Gun Kid is drinking milk in a saloon when he notices a young man heading towards him and suspects that he means trouble. The Kid's fears prove true when the young man, Waco Pete, challenges him to a draw. The Kid tries to ignore him, but Waco presses the issue, calling the Kid a coward. When the Kid refuses to draw against him for no reason, Pete slaps the glass of milk out of the Kid's hand. The Kid continues to try and brush the young man off by turning around and buying another glass of milk. When Waco calls him yellow and says the Kid doesn't want to fight, the Kid agrees that he indeed does not want to fight it out with the young man. Pete misunderstands this as the Kid admitting that he is a coward and works himself up into such a frenzy that he strikes Two-Gun in the face.
The Kid finally gets fed up and agrees to draw against Waco, who insists that he is a faster draw. the Kid proves him wrong when he draws faster than Waco and shoots the gun out of his hand. when Waco accuses Two-Gun of having a gun hidden up his sleeve, the Kid turns around to leave. When Pete tries to shoot the Kid in the back, Two-Gun proves just how fast he is by whirling around and shooting the gun out of Pete's other hand, wounding him this time. As a doctor patches up his hand, Waco asks why the Kid drew when he was afraid. Two-Gun explains that he is not afraid to draw, what he is afraid of is one day killing someone foolish enough to draw against him, because proving who is the fastest draw is not worth a human life and with that the Kid walks out of the saloon.
