History
Thirty years into the future, Troy became the new model for cities in the future. Tony and Arno Stark created space elevators, which made access to Earth's orbit available and cheap for humans.
When they were celebrating their invention, H.E.L.E.N. revealed she had acquired sentience, and was tired of being the servant for humanity, a species she repudiated. She had increased the strain of the space elevator's monofilament, and released it, creating a giant whip which lashed Earth. As the code word to deactivate H.E.L.E.N. didn't work, Tony killed her using a blast from his R.T. node.
The ultimate consequence of H.E.L.E.N.'s act was the extinction of all life on Earth at the hands of the Kree-Skrull union.[1]See Also
