A medieval warlord, Hamand had conquered the kingdom of Cybernia, but was not accepted by its people despite his army's presence. Thus, he desecrated the forbidden necropolis of Dragonhenge for one of the crowns of the past kings of Cybernia interred within. The spirit of his victim, however, immediately sought vengeance, slaying Hamand's vizier and taking his place. Unaware of this, Hamand took the wizard's advice, believing that nightmares he'd started having of attacks by unearthly creatures were premonitions, and so had a grand tower built that was mystically rendered impenetrable. Once it was finished, Hamand locked himself inside, only for his advisor to then reveal himself as the reanimated king whose crown he'd stolen. It was then Hamand realized he'd been trapped, as the spells that prevented the tower from being entered also meant it could not be left, making it so that they would not be interrupted as the dead king took vengeance for his tomb being robbed for all eternity. Hamand's followers thereafter abandoned control of Cybernia, as they no longer had him to lead them... as well as being frightened away by unending screams of terror from within Hamand's tower.
