History

Hans Knoblach was born into a wealthy merchant family, sometime in the 1650s in Hamburg, Germany. In 1660, he and five other children found a meteorite, and within six months, the other children had died, leaving Hans the only survivor. Ten years later he married Lady Gertrude Hunter, daughter of an English lord. A year after that, Hans and his wife were awarded a large tract of land in Virginia and moved to the new world. In 1673, Gertrude gave a birth to a daughter, Gloria. In 1675 she bore a son, William. Gertrude's third child, Fiona, was born in 1680. In 1705 Hans and Gertrude died in a family boating accident, which was actually arranged by Fiona.
