Harry Palmer was a human paramedic from Denver who was transformed into a Brood after coming across a crashed Brood Starshark. He soon infected his paramedic partner Josey Thomas, and then began infecting mutants he came across while performing his duties, recruiting an army of Brood Mutants.[1]

Palmer and his Brood Mutants were soon opposed by the X-Men, who defeated and killed each of the Brood Mutants. Palmer himself was eventually killed by Wolverine, but Josey escaped, as the X-Men did not know she was also infected.[2]
