History

The past history of the Hellfire Club of Earth-21993 mostly mirrors that of their Earth-616 counterpart. In this reality Charles Xavier would be assassinated by Cable leading to widespread human/mutant violence.

In order to capitalize on the growing violence between humans and mutants, Sebastian Shaw would get in touch with the US government and invest his money in restarting Project:Wide Awake. In order to protect himself from the eventual Sentinel deployment, he would build a device that would cloak him from their mutant scanners. He would next send his soldiers to attack the X-Mansion where they would aid the Fenris, and Savage Land Mutates. Their battle would not only cause the X-Men heavy casualties, but also force them to retreat from the onslaught. The Hellfire Club soldiers would then destroy the X-Men's headquarters with explosives.[1]

When the US government would deploy the Sentinels in response to Magneto's take over of Washington D.C., Shaw would be rendered immune to the Sentinels scanners thanks to his cloaking device. However, he would be beat to death by an angry mob that either learned he was or believed he was a mutant. Before dying from his injuries he would turn over the device to Wolverine who had come to his aid.[2]

Presumably the Hellfire Club fell apart during the worldwide chaos, the fate of Tessa remains unrevealed.
