The Beast of this world follows that of his mainstream counterpart up until the point when She-Hulk came to the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning to read the last will and testament of their mentor Charles Xavier which revealed the existence of the mutant Matthew Malloy.[1]

Beast was present with the rest of the X-Men, but Jennifer could not read the will as it required for all members to be there which included their former leader Cyclops. With Beast being the only one who knew where Cyclops was, he went along with Storm and Iceman in the Blackbird to Canada.[2]

With everyone finally assembled at the school, She-Hulk read the will and revealed two major secrets, first one was that Xavier was married to Mystique before he died and secondly learning of the existence of Matthew Malloy. Beast stayed behind in order to determine his powers by using Cerebro while Cyclops, Wolverine and a few others went to intercept Matthew in South Carolina after S.H.I.E.L.D.'s attempt failed.[3]

While Beast was in communication with Ororo and Scott as they made it to the Helicarrier, he determined that Malloy's abilities made him more than an omega level mutant, in actuality he was more powerful than any mutant signature they have seen before.[4]

After Rachel Grey's confrontation with Matthew ended in failure and they were all teleported back to the school, Cyclops took the opportunity and had Magik transport him back to Matthew in order to talk to him face to face which infuriated Hank. He then supposedly contacted the Avengers and the Fantastic Four and advised them of the dire situation.[5]
