History
When Hercules stole Cerberus from Hades, he started a war between the two that lasted centuries. Hades then caused Mount Vesuvius, which successfully trapped Hercules underground for centuries. In the modern day, while the Avengers were investigating an underground temple in Pompeii where earthquakes were happening, they were attacked by Cerberus. When Hercules emerged from the ground, the Avengers mistook him for another monster, which led to them fighting one another. After clearing up the misunderstanding, Hercules helped the Avengers defeat Cerberus. He then went back into the volcano, seeking to find Hades, hoping to see the Avengers again in the future.[2]
