High Street is known for its chaotic environment and high levels of criminal activity. Travelers are advised to be armed, as the local constabulary is notoriously corrupt or violent. While the sheriffs are often motivated by money, the true danger come from individuals acting out of madness, making the area particularly hazardous. Despite its lawlessness, High Street remained a central and heavily trafficked part of the Crooked Market.[2]
Recently, Captain Britain escorted Doctor Doom through High Street to reach Mad Jim Jaspers' office.[1]
