History

Origins[]

Possibly the history of the symbiote Hive was similar to that of its Earth-616 counterpart to some extent.

Conquest of the Earth[]

After the birth of Dylan Brock, a Human-Symbiote hybrid, who was the son of Anne Weying who had bonded with the Venom symbiote, he was corrupted by Knull's influence. Dylan, while under Knull's control, used his powers to rip off a part of the Venom symbiote to become a duplicate of it and called himself Codex.

Dylan forced his symbiote to spawn and reproduce, creating thousands of symbiotes who bonded with various heroes and villains whom he used to conquer the Earth. In response to the threat, President Eugene Thompson reactivated the Sym-Soldier program with Tyrannosaurus as the leader and recruited several -including Annie- who bonded with the symbiote and received military training. In the war that followed, Codex killed both President Thompson and Tyrannosaurus, along with many other heroes and villains or were simply turned into executioner symbiotes. Anne Weying, now Agent Venom, took over the leadership of the Sym-Soldier program and took refuge with the other soldiers in the old SHIELD tunnels beneath Manhattan.

Venom Beyond[]

Venom and Dylan Brock from an alternate reality were teleported back to Earth due to a fight against Virus who damaged the portal The Maker created to go to his home universe. The Avengers captured Gargan and brought him to Codex who linked him to a symbiote and sent him after Eddie. Dylan using his powers destroyed Gargan's symbiote and together with the resistance assaulted the hive. Dylan severed Knull's connection to Codex and the symbiotes under his command died.
