History
The Home Office Vessel was the base of operations of the Consortium. An intergalactic corporation with financial interests on thousands of worlds throughout the Milky Way. The mothership was a city-sized starship that carried within a fleet of warships and an army. The ship was powered by a planet that had been miniaturized to the size of a 2-story building.
When the fleet it sent to Earth to retrieve or terminate Her failed to achieve their mission due to the intervention of Alpha Flight, it got involved. The ship went to the city of Toronto on Earth, and deployed 100s of ships as well as ground troops to battle Alpha Flight and the Avengers which had arrived to assist them. The ship was destroyed when it was transported to Galactus, so it could feed on the miniature world it carried within.[2]
