Homeworld was the central world within the Microverse. It was constitued of a series of linked planetoids orbiting twin suns. Neighboring Homeworld were Kaliklak and Spartak, and all three worlds were planets within a cluster of solar systems forming the galactic-sized DNA shaped Spiral Path. The Spiral Path itself was surrounded by the Spacewall which separated it from the rest of the Microverse and from other dimensions.[1]

History

Early years[]

Over 1000 years ago, Homeworld was a thriving civilization, with astonishing technology and robotics.

Lord Dallan Rann and Lady Sepsis, the beloved regents of the capital city, had a son, Arcturus Rann.[2]

Conflict with K'ai[]

1000 years ago, ancient K'ai was under suspicion of stockpiling stolen Homeworld weapons and/or threatening technologies. Inspection teams visited and cleared the K'aitians of the accusations,[3] though a doomsday weapon was indeed developed.

Commander Arcturus Rann of Homeworld led a group of Death's Head bombers to K'ai. Despite the inspections and an utter lack of evidence, Arcturus was firmly convinced the K'aitians lied. Despite express order of withdrawal[3] and out of fear instead of evidence, Arcturus conducted a massive strike, annihilating ancient K'ai.[4]

Exploring the Microverse[]

Arcturus agreed to go on a millenial journey across the Microverse,[2] thus becoming the first Inner-Space explorer.[5] During his journey, Rann encountered manifestations of the Enigma Force and became intrinsically linked with it.[2]

Modern Age[]

Coup d'état[]

At some point, a coup d'état erupted on Homeworld and the royal family was murdered. Princess Mari joined the Homeworld Resistance in the aftermath of the coup.[6]

That new regime attacked Rann at his return. Banding with the underground rebellion (including Mari, the Insectivorid Bug and the king of Spartak), Rann led them to liberate Homeword using the power of the Enigma Force.[2]

All life on Homeworld was eventually destroyed by Baron Karza and the sections of the planet later broke up and drifted apart. This caused the 'Worldmind' of Homeworld to go mad and almost destroy the Microverse.[citation needed]

Facts[]

Technology[]

Over 1000 years ago, Homeworld was a thriving civilization, with astonishing technology and robotics,[2] including Death's Head Guards.[3]

Religion[]

The people of Homeworld worshiped the spirits of Dallan Rann and Sepsis[7] as gods.[8]
