The Hostel was a large subterranean lair beneath the La Brea Tar Pits and the former the base of operations for the Pride and later the Runaways.

History

The Leapfrog driving into the La Brea Tar Pits to access the Hostel

Originally, the base, located beneath the La Brea Tar Pits, was used as the secret lair of The Pride, and guarded by Security Daemons. It was discovered and repurposed by the Runaways after the original Hostel was destroyed and the Pride were killed by the Gibborim in the Marine Vivarium.

It was used as the Runaways base of operation and living quarters until it was discovered and infiltrated by Iron Man and his Cape-Killers.
