History
After being rescued and empowered by Apocalypse, Fabian Cortez formed the Hounds by empowering other mutants to attack as his personal soldiers. Together, Cortez and his Hounds were led to an ancient temple of Apocalypse in Peru, where they began searching for a new vessel for Apocalypse to inhabit.[1]
With the celestial event approaching, the Hounds lost their original sacrificial vessel escaped. However, Caliban sensed Jubilee nearby and lead the Hounds to find her and Beast. Having a change of heart, Caliban turned against Cortez and the other Hounds to free Jubilee. With no other options, Cortez became the unwilling new vessel of Apocalypse. The fates of the other Hounds remain unknown.[1]Notes
- The Hounds, aside from Caliban, are not referred to individually by name (though some of their names were confirmed through captioning), but it seems that the one wielding the energy whip may be based on Senyaka, one of Magneto's Acolytes from the comic book series, who had an identical power.
