History
Howard Stark's history is presumably similar to his Earth-616 counterpart's. Samples of a meteorite were once smuggled out of the Congo by a mercenary working for Howard but were later lost at sea. The hero Nighthawk used the energy readings from the samples to match the energy readings in the vibranium in Captain America's shield and used that to track the location of the Avengers, the hidden nation of Wakanda.[1]
