History

Howard Stark and his wife Maria, were waiting for their son Tony to return for the dinner where they would meet his girlfriend Meredith, but they were attacked by Tobias who had traveled to the past to oppose the Avengers' attempt to recruit a young Tony Stark before his corruption by Kang. When the Avengers tried to confront him, Tobias took Howard and Maria hostage and fled to Latveria with the aim of using Dr. Doom's time platform, but the Avengers caught up with him there and during the fight Tobias purposely caused a wall to collapse on top of the Starks killing them both.
