Synopsis

While traveling through the Arterial Dimension Between-Space, Bruce Banner, in control over the Hulk, discovered a planet affected by gamma radiation and terraformed by beings with Hulk-like strength. After landing on the planet, he discovered the planet inhabited by Hulk-like gamma mutates that knew about the Hulk and worshiped him as a god.[1] Banner was met by the planet's ruler Monolith who told him about the history of her planet and learned that the inhabitants were descendants of gamma mutates banished from Earth-122. They set up a civilization hat became more advanced after having their intelligence augmented by gamma radiation sent to them by Banner by accident.[2]

Banner proved himself to the planet's inhabitants after participating in their Godball ritual.[3] Banner planned to leave as he fears destroying the planet if he stayed any longer. However, the Titan persona had infiltrated his mindscape and killed off his crew of personalities. Titan then locked Banner in the space where he kept the Hulk. While this happened, Monolith began removing the cybernetics that allowed Banner to control the Hulk so Banner would be eliminated and the Hulk could rule her planet. Titan tried to anger Hulk to gain power, but Banner convinced Hulk to resist Titan's attempts. When Titan cranked the machine that angered Hulk to dangerous, unheard levels, Hulk unleashed a gargantuan blast of energy.[4]

The blast devastated the planet and killed many of its inhabitants. Meanwhile, Doc Sasquatch and Doctor Strange went to Wundagore Mountain where Project A.R.K. was located to aid Banner. Strange used astral projection to safely travel through the portal and managed to locate Banner, but by now, the Titan persona was in control and wreaking havoc. Strange infiltrated Banner's mindscape to help, but Titan forced him out. Strange recognized the changes to Banner's mindscape as D'Spayre's doing and went to retrieve the demon. The survivors of the energy blast tried fighting Titan, but he could absorb their gamma energy, allowing him to inflict fatal injuries. Monolith told the survivors to flee while she fought Titan alone. As Monolith fought Titan, Strange arrived with D'Spayre and forced him to reverse the changes he did to Banner's mindscape. D'Spayre also revealed that he altered Banner's mindscape in the service of an unknown party. However, Titan remained in control and grabbed Strange's astral form, forcing his physical form and Samson through the portal.[5]

Monolith absorbed much of Titan's gamma energy and fired it as an energy blast Titan into outer space, but Titan just absorbed the energy and returned to the planet's surface. Strange and Samson arrived on the planet in time to aid in the fight against Titan. Samson provided some of his gamma energy to Monolith to help her fight against Titan while Strange dealt with D'Spayre. When Titan proved to be too powerful, Strange and Monolith planned to evacuate the planet but were cornered by Titan. That was when Banner motivated the Hulk into fighting back against Titan, defeating the evil persona and returning control of Banner's body to Banner. Banner returned to Earth where he was exonerated of his crimes in El Paso and on the unnamed planet but also lost his ability to control his mindscape. Meanwhile, the power provided to D'Spayre to alter Banner's mindscape was retrieved by its owner, a seemingly baby version of the Leader.[6]
