Synopsis for "The Defiant Hulks"
Hulk reluctantly fills in as Mayor of Vista Verde while Mayor Stan is on vacation. Red and Skaar leave the team to start their own webcast as super villain bounty hunters - their first target: Abomination. But things get complicated when the Red Ghost and his Super-Apes (consisting of Mikhlo the Gorilla, Igor the Baboon and Peotr the Orangutan) are after Abomination as well as part of a plot to siphon Abomination's gamma energy and make an army of Abomin-Apes.

- Mayor Stan's office features black and white photos from real Stan Lee.
- One of Red's lines to the Super Apes "You danged dirty ape!" is a reference to a similar line in Planet of the Apes.
- The positions that the Super Apes assume before being blasted by the Gamma bomb references the three wise monkeys (hear no evil, speak no evil and hear no evil).
