History
The past history of the terrorist organization known as Hydra on Earth-79101 mirrors that of their Earth-616 counterparts until they would send their agent Arachne to assassinate SHIELD director Nick Fury. In this reality, Arachne would succeed in doing so and rush back to Hydra headquarters to seek protection from the Supreme Hydra Otto Vermis who promised to reveal Arachne's true origins in exchange for loyalty.
Soon SHIELD would storm their headquarters, capturing Arachne and seemingly sending Otto Vermis crashing to his death in an escape ship. Vermis would survive the crash and be a surprise witness in the court trail to sentence Arachne for Fury's murder.
Although this sect of Hydra was seemingly shut down by SHIELD, it is unlikely the end of the Hydra organization in this reality and their present activities are unknown.See Also
