History

Hydra shared history with its counterpart from Earth-199999, being a secret organization that survived inside of S.H.I.E.L.D. after World War II. In the aftermath of the Battle of New York City in 2012, Hydra agent Jasper Sitwell was about to deliver Loki's scepter containing the Mind Stone to Dr. List, but was stopped by time-traveling Captain America, who impersonated his past self and pretended to be an agent of Hydra in order to take the scepter off Sitwell's hands.
