History
Ian is one of the three personalities of David Haller. As far as David's mother, Gabrielle was concerned, her son had found Ian living on the streets and the young boy had stayed with them ever since. When Lucas emerged and tried to take control of David's body, he used Ian to draw Jean Grey to him, having seemingly become infatuated with the other telepath.
When Professor Xavier and Storm went out looking for the missing students, they nearly ran over Ian in the fog. There, Xavier attempted too read his mind, but only succeeded in obtaining flashes of information. He soon ran off towards the Castle. Blocking his pursuers' path with his Pyrokinesis, Charles fears that Ian's loyalties are with David's abductor, Lucas.
Later, when the Professor touched David's hand, he shapeshifted into Ian, but he quickly vanished again as Lucas took over. When Charles attempted to subdue David's other persona within his mind, he ended up suppressing both David and Ian.[1]Attributes

Ian is the most submissive of David's personalities, possessing the power of Pyrokinesis.
