History

Ianthe was a beautiful Greek girl, daughter of an innkeeper. When Mr. Aubrey took a room from the innkeeper, Ianthe befriended Aubrey by acting as a guide and telling him stories about vampires. When one evening Aubrey went late in the evening into the places where vampires were said to gather, Ianthe tried to reach him to warn him not to go but she herself was attacked and killed by a vampire despite the intervention of Aubrey who tried to confront him.
