- As revealed in Fantastic Four (Vol. 4) #5, on Earth-616, Caesar died in 46 BC during the Battle of Thapsus, and from then on his body was inhabited by the alien who would later be known as Charles Cotta. "Cotta" had become Caesar by the time of the events seen on page 15, while the real Caesar appears on pages 2-14.
