Synopsis for "All On That Day"
Brian Banner's house. Then
Brian comes home from work, and steps on a toy brick his son, Bruce, left on the floor while playing. A glass of whisky in his hand, Brian shouts at Bruce he should stop leaving toys around. Rebecca tells him to calm down, to not snap at Bruce, but Brian does not listen. He takes the box which contained the bricks Bruce is playing with, and reads that it is a complex educational toy for kids of twelve or more. Bruce is not even six, and he's not using the instructions. Brian knows what Bruce is, he knows exactly. He is a disgusting little monster that changed Brian's Rebecca. She's not happy anymore, because of him.
Brian shouts that he'll go to his study, and orders Bruce to pick up the mess. Rebecca tells him to do like his father told him, and leaves, saying she needs time alone to think. Bruce is scared, but more of that he is angry. So angry he starts shouting: "Smash! Smash!" and holding the glass his father dropped to the floor, he destroys the toy city he built.
Below
Hulk is enraged: after destroying the Red Hulk, he keeps attacking everything in his sight. He will crush everything, kill everything. Jackie is afraid, but with a lot of courage steps up and touches the Hulk, calming him down. The Hulk cries: why he always must hurt? Jackie cannot answer him, but asks him to let the other Hulk, the "devil" one, come out. He accepts, and the Immortal Hulk comes back, thanking her: the big boy stays inside usually these days, but when he gets really angry he gets out.
Jackie asks to Hulk how much time passed since he's been in charge of the whole personality system. He does not give a straight answer: somebody has to. In the night, it is him. In the day, well, day is Banner's time. Jackie asks where Bruce is, and Hulk answers he does not know, but has a hunch, looking to the green beacon on the cliff above.
And Bruce Banner is in fact inside that light, with Brian on his side: the father speaks to the son, explaining his life to him. He grew up with Bruce's grandfather, and thought that there was no love suited for him. That Brian Banner was not worthy of love. But then, he met Rebecca, and she did love him. A miracle. He was brilliant in those times, a respected scientist in the field of radiation, especially Gamma. He had a theory...
He studied the unpredictable behavior of Gamma Radiation, and found out that the energy could manifest not in two, but three forms. Particle, wave, and another, mysterious. His colleagues kept telling him he was nonsense, but they were intrigued. They respected him for the theory. And this led him to push himself to the limit to find out what that third energy was, so he kept studying and looking. Nothing happened. One time, he stayed up. It was night, he was tired and he drifted off: something in his dreams appeared to him. A creature looking through a Green Door, separating the world from a "cellar-world" beneath all creation.
He thought he was going mad because of fatigue, and abandoned the research. His colleagues started losing their respect for him, and also, when he came home, Rebecca told him she was pregnant. Brian knew what was happening: he knew what Bruce was. Bruce took all the love of Rebecca for himself, depriving Brian of it. And then, he killed Brian on his mother's own grave. Yes, Bruce, his son... But no, Brian must remember: it was not Bruce, but the monster who cast him down to hell.
And when Brian tried to protest the injustice that was done at his expense, the monster cast him farther down, here, Below. And Below, the thing from Brian's dreams finally appeared to him. Creation's secret reflection, Gamma's third form. And this thing, it could not manifest in our world directly: it needed a host to do his deeds. First it was Brian, but then something better. Brian's Immortal son, loaded with the third form of Gamma energy, able to open the Green Door after the bomb he triggered in his infamous experiment exploded. And that son, that son can set Brian free...
Noon is approaching in Hell, tells Brian: it will appear. And then, green clouds assemble into a gigantic creature speaking with an indescribable voice. It is the One Below All. Jackie is terrorized, and tells Hulk they are too late: who can fight something like that? He is the end. But Hulk answers: that thing is not the end of the world. And why does he know it? Because the end of the world is what Hulk is.
