History
To improve the flow of energy in the Multiverse, the Infinites began destroying and rearranging planets, stars, and even entire galaxies. The Infinites were confronted by the Avengers and Eternity, who convinced them to abandon their plan.[1]
Powers and Abilities
Powers
The Infinites are higher-dimensional entities infinitely transcending even Eternity, the embodiment of the Marvel Universe.[1]
Notes
- According to Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A to Z #5, the Infinites are from outside the Multiverse.
- The Infinites share similarities with the Beyonders. The Infinites' "hand" which they use to interact with the universe is similar to the Beyonders' "hand" that moved the High Evolutionary's planet from Avengers Annual #17. Their goal of improving the Multiverse is also similar to the Beyonders'.[2][3]
Trivia
- Before the Infinites' proper appearance in Avengers: Infinity #3–4, they were teased a year earlier in Avengers: Forever #10.
- The Time-Keepers use them as examples to prove the threat of humanity, as they have defied nigh-omnipotent cosmic beings like Galactus, the Celestials, and even the Infinites.
- Quasar states that Oblivion, Eternity, and the Living Tribunal seem almost human next to the Infinites.[4]
