Synopsis for 1st story
A flashback is shown of Daredevil's initial blinding injury and he notes how his amplified hearing, specifically so many voices around you was the worst after effect.
At a meeting at the courthouse, Matt is suprised while waiting in security line to find out that he can see something. He is able to visualize the mindstone on Turk Barrett's staff, which is Kingpin's old Cane.
Matt hides himself from Turk and reminisces on a vision of onetime when Turk stabbed him in an alley. Turk also notices that Matt is in the security line but doesn't recognize him specifically, referring to him as a hobo. Turk mentions he feels all powerful with the mind stone.
Matt suits up as Daredevil to hide his identity and scales the courthouse. He watches a trial in which a good judge Judge Chatlin is mind controlled to name Serban Cristescu not guilty of murder to the dismay of everyone. Daredevil notes he believes Turk is behind the questionable decision by the judge and in a limo Serban pays off Turk who also demands his loyalty too for muscle when needed.
Daredevil heads to Josie's Bar to investigate more about Turk Barret. Grotto explains to Daredevil that Turk has a magic rock that reads minds and has recently abandoned them. The other bar patrons note Grotto made a mistake by divulging that info .
Daredevil engages Turk Barret while on top of his elevator car at his apartment building. He realizes Turk can read his thoughts. Turk shoots at him but Daredevil dodges and fights him.
After a beating, Turk explains that he was working a rideshare burglary scam one night when he was surprised by a battle a of Sanctum Santorum Monks and Skrulls where a glowing box was dropped. Turk picks up the mind stone from the box and immediately understands its usefulness. One of the monks tells Turk he must get the stone to the Avengers but Turk shoots him instead and determines he was destined to get the stone for his own possession .
After finishing the explanation Turk throws Daredevil onto the roof of the building where thugs are waiting and begin shooting at him but he beats them up working through them. He pulls back from the fight instructs Turk to NOT try to fill Fisk's void in the NYC criminal underworld.
After the fight Turk executes Grotto and has a meeting with Bullseye. He notes he wants to acquire good fortune as a boss but also wants to share it with others and recruits him. Bullseye accepts the recruitment.
