Synopsis for 1st story
Captain Dea-Sea of the Kree Empire s in deep remote space and is under attacked with expected imminent demise. They brace for a missile impact but are surprised it never hits only to find out it was the Dark Starhawk who "saved" them by destroying their enemies. However the Starhawk transforms into massive hawk essence and captures the Kree ship.
Back on the location of the battle between Darkhawk and the Raptors. Chris Powell Darkhawk regret his decision to come to space and engage the rapotrs as he is currently on the brink of death with his amulet ripped out. He has a vision of a birdlike shadowy figure with an actual hawk on its shoulders and realizes it is Razor who detaches his spirtual self from his physical nearly dead body. He encourages Chris and opens his mind and transports him to a space-time with visions of the the Raptors inception as a race.
He shows him how the Gardener planted a seed that became the Tree of Shadows. And how during a Shi'ar and Skrull battle the bird like Shi'ar race utilized the seeds of the Tree of Shadows to morph into a powerful Raptor and how it could also shape shift.
Razor warns and instructs Chris to reach into himself utilizing his creativity and individuality and find a truer form like the Shi'ar did. Chris uses this motivation to rejuvenate his suit and shed his dead armor. Razor notes he does not need the amulet any longer but Chris mentions he still wants it so he can transform back to his human self. Chris reunites with Death's Head who notes he wants revenge on the Raptors for attacking him.
Back in the Kree ship, Gyre asks Dark Starkhawk Talon-R if he will have the strength to go through with destroying earth and all of humanity, to which Dark Starhawk confirms he will. They are alerted and Dark Starhawk realizes it is Chris, which surprises Gyre who believed he was dead.
