History

The Inhuman Royal Guard are the Inhumans tasked with protecting the Inhuman Royal Family, Attilan's ruling dynasty. When Gorgon, the head of the guard, left for Earth to find Triton, Maximus launched a coup to overthrow King Black Bolt with the royal guard behind him, beginning when Auran executed Kitang for refusing to give the Genetic Council's support for Maximus' claim to the throne. Black Bolt, Queen Medusa, and Karnak escaped to Earth, although the royal guard had earlier managed to capture Medusa and forcibly shave her head to take away her Inhuman hair. Maximus later sent Auran to Earth to kill or capture the members of the Royal Family who fled there.
