History
The inorganic technotroids are the Skrull empress's ultimate bodyguards. They are birthed in her chambers when she is alone and as they are imprinted by the first living thing they see, they live to serve only her until they are recycled.
De'Lila was looking for one of them, a stolen egg which was taken to become the perfect assassin, infiltrating her identical bodyguard and slaying her. With the unconscious help of Mister Fantastic and the New Fantastic Four, she found the missing egg in Subterranea, where it was being held by a female monster, so as soon as it hatched, the technotroid imprinted on her and grabbed the Skrull captain who was threatening to obliterate it with an explosive device. After the captain's death, the technotroid was cooed by the monster couple, like it was their first born.[1]Properties
The Technotroid's shell is able to withstand attacks from superhumans and cosmic beings, including punches (e.g. Thing) and energy blasts (e.g. Human Torch & Silver Surfer). Once the Technotroid's shell matures, it becomes indestructible. An immature Technotroid was strong enough to slug it out with Thing and dig through rock solid soil as if it was butter. It fires energy blasts from the eyes and its three arms powerful enough to harm either the Human Torch or the Silver Surfer. While it was immature it was contained within an egg whose outer shell consisted of anti-matter ectoplasm maintained by transcendental generators which could only be stripped by mystical means. It was locked via magnetic fields, defended by spinning lasers that could cut through anything, and a self-destruct setting which would leave a 1200 mile wide crater.[1]
