Synopsis for "Ashes and Snow"
Madame Masque carries out of Stark's hideaway Pepper Pott's Rescue armor. She find the communicator she purposely dropped and calls Osborn, confirming that Stark escaped but she killed Potts.
Meanwhile, as Stark makes his way to Afghanistan, he e-mails Maria Hill.
In New York, Maria wakes up, opens her bedroom door and unknowingly attacks Black Widow but is repulsed. She apologizes her such impulsive behaviour. Widow tells her to pull it together otherwise she might kill Captain America or get them caught by H.A.M.M.E.R.
As the H.A.M.M.E.R. Helicarrier enters Russian airspace, Osborn gets on the line with Colonel Bukharin, who is angry at the disregard for international treaties. Osborn diverts him by stating that there is a splinter cell about to create an a-bomb, which is actually a lie. He then picks up Masque. Meanwhile, elsewhere on the Helicarrier, a HAMMER agent intercepts the e-mail being sent to Maria. He brings this before Deputy-Director Hand, who immediately dismisses him.
As Stark arrives in Afghanistan, two guerrillas shot him out of the sky for fun. He crashes into the ground and is forced to abandon his armor and wander in the desert.
Back in New York, Maria and Black Widow prepare for their rendezvous with Captain America. As Widow goes for recon, Maria spots a H.A.M.M.E.R. surveillance van. They are then both apprehended by H.A.M.M.E.R. agents. Watching this from afar is Cap.
Back in Russia, Masque informs Osborn that Stark is slowly losing his intellect.. Victoria then barges in, informing him that they've caught Maria Hill. Elsewhere, in the Helicarrier's armory, the H.A.M.M.E.R. personnel lugging the Rescue armor note how it is heavier than it seems. The armory is full of Iron Man suits repainted to match Iron Patriot. They leave Rescue in the sunlight.
