Synopsis for "War of the Iron Men Finale"
Iron Man, Radioactive Man, Titanium Man, and Crimson Dynamo are quickly overrun by Doombot Iron Men invading from Latveria. The Russians are little help as it turns out while they are manned, the suits are controlled remotely from the Kremlin and they've just been cut loose. Chen Lu offers to cooperate with Iron Man in generating a powerful EMP. Iron Man insists on flying the Russians to safety first, but before he can make it back, Radioactive Man is forced to detonate the EMP early. Doing so gives Stark all the information he needed though, as the Doombot army remains standing, which is proof enough that they're using his own technology. He flies to Doom's command vessel to confront him about funneling his designs to the Zmaj, but Doom claims to have only funded the Zmaj, not supplied the tech.
The battle is joined by a heavily armored Svarog, a new suit devised by Dragana, who lets Stark know he inspired her to take her people's salvation into her own hands. It times well with Stark's plans, as he activates a killswitch he hid in the tech on the ship Doom stole to make his army, he makes it appear to the world that Transia's own homegrown superhero fought off the invasion single-handedly.
Later, Iron Man confronts Stark's janitor, whom he finally identified as the source of the security leak. He had used dusted up skin flakes to get past the DNA locks to the weapon designs, which he sent to the Transian Slavs because members of his wife's family were killed their enemies during the war. After seeing him arrested, Stark gets Pepper and his other employees released from prison then sets out to plan how his technology could be shared better according to his legacy. In a hidden bunker in the middle of nowhere, he builds his Iron Legion.

Notes
- This story is set between Iron Man (Vol. 3) #50, the debut of the Model 20 "Tin Man" armor, and Iron Man (Vol. 3) #55, where Stark reveals his secret identity to the public. At this time Iron Man is operating under the cover story of being Tony Stark's bodyguard.
- After the failure of his plan, Doom suggests his next plan will involve "Venom Symbiote Satellites". This refers to the Venom Virus that will feature in Mighty Avengers #7, though it contradicts the revelation in Spider-Man/Fantastic Four #4 that Kristoff Vernard was the real mastermind behind that event in an effort to frame Doom.
