Synopsis for "Unfamiliar Faces"
Admiring his newest antique mask, Creighton McCall drops it, releasing the ancient Face Thief. It quickly kills McCall and an arriving Richard Stevenson, then removes Creighton's face and placing it over its own, taking Creighton's physical form. In Tokyo, Kaze of the Masters of Silence senses the reawakening of the Face Thief and summons the other masters, who soon pay a visit to Tony Stark for aid. Discovering that he has taken Creighton's body, Stark sends his L.M.D. to Richard Stevenson's funeral and tries to comfort Richard's wife, Stark's former lover Meredith McCall. "Creighton" takes Meredith home, where Stark sends Iron Man to investigate. As Iron Man defeats the guards and the Masters of Silence infiltrate the estate, Meredith discovers "Creighton"'s true form. Kaze arrives to rescue her, engaging the Face Thief until Iron Man and the other Masters join the fray. Meredith also fights back, donning a guard's uniform and firearm. After driving the Face Thief away, a dying Kaze transfers his "warrior soul" to Meredith, who joins the Masters of Silence and tells Iron Man to say goodbye to Tony for her.
