History
This armor is the ninth Iron Man suit created by Tony Stark, and one of the many armors he developed after the battle for New York against Loki and the Chitauri. The attack had left him with the feeling that the world couldn't be safe for long, and that he needed to build more suits until the next time Earth was in danger.

This suit was among those summoned by Stark to battle Extremis-enhanced soldiers defending Aldrich Killian's plot and base. It was controlled at the time by Stark's A.I. program, J.A.R.V.I.S.. When an Extremis-powered Pepper Potts was fighting Killian, this suit identified her Extremis heat signature and prepared to execute her; Tony tried to command J.A.R.V.I.S. to abort, but Stark's earpiece had fallen from his head. Pepper then proceeded to jump and punch through the suit's torso before it could fire a repulsor blast. She used the suit's charged arm to direct the repulsor blast to a missile she had kicked towards Killian, detonating the explosive and annihilating the villain.[1]
Capabilities[]
Seems to possesses the same capabilities as MK VII. It was redesigned with added maneuvering thrusters and flight capabilities.[2]See Also
