| Synopsis1 = The Masked Marauder gloats over the imprisoned Iron Man and reveals that he intends to build an atomic bomb from the space shuttle's parts. He sends Steele to analyze Iron Man's armor and Steele uses a torch to remove one gauntlet. Iron Man frees himself and Steele dons the gauntlet to fight back but Iron Man holds him off until the Masked Marauder enters and shoots a piece of debris from the ceiling onto his head. Happy sees a picture of Tony and Pepper in the paper and believes she lied to him about her working relationship. The Masked Marauder phones Pepper with a ransom demand for Iron Man's return and she leaves the office just as Happy tries to contact her. The Masked Marauder tries to recapture Iron Man but he breaks free and this time wins. Steele returns for a rematch and Iron Man gives him the left gauntlet, knowing that both are out of power: he quickly defeats Steele. Tony returns to his office to usher Pepper to Cincinnati, but she tells him that Happy was in touch to tell her he's leaving her. |
