Synopsis for "Believe 3 of 5: It Makes us Stronger"
In his lab, Tony experiments with his microwave, and succeeds in making an edible cheese sandwich. The next Extremis signal is tracked to a mansion in Colombia belonging to a known drug capo. He assembles himself a stealth suit - though capable of concealing him with holograms, it has very weak armour and fire-power. At Valencia Mansion, Colombia, Mr Valencia has hired Vibro, Firebrand and Living Laser to distract Tony Stark for a few days and protect his Extremis kit.
Four hours later, Iron Man arrives outside the mansion, enabling his lightbender technology, rendering him invisible. He listens in on the guard patrol to learn their passwords, and uses the suit's hologram to disguise himself as on, allowing him free access to the house. He muses that he's outdone Natasha Romanoff in just about every espionage field except the donning of catsuits. Since he can track the active Extremis better than the kit itself, he finds it - in Valencia's daughter, on a sickbed in the basement. She springs the alarm, and Living Laser quickly grapples Iron Man and takes the fight outside. Firebrand burns the hologram coating off his suit, but he is able to take both her and Vibro out with gas as their suits are not sealed. His repulsors are weak, but enough to knock out the Living Laser.
Tony makes it back to the basement where he finds Valencia and the Extremis kit. Valencia explains that a year ago, his daughter Juliana revealed she had a rare and incurable cancer - he then spent every last peso to buy the Extremis dose simply to program it to repair her as a normal human. His daughter proved too weak, and so she is still struggling for her life. Since the effects of Extremis are quite violent, Maya had worked on system to reduce the roughness and increase the odds of surviving. Upon her death, she sent that data to Tony. He reprograms Valencia's Extremis kit with this purpose, and injects Juliana, saving her. He reveals this use of Extremis was closer to Maya's original dream - that she created the super soldier version because getting military funding was easier.
